1 Corinthians 8:6 NLT – But we know that there is only one God, the Father, who created everything, and we live for him. And there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom God made everything and through whom we have been given life.

As we make Jesus our true Lord, we will be given true life, a life to the full!  This kind of life can flow to us only through one “pipeline.”  And that pipeline is: making Jesus as our “true Lord.”

Making Jesus as your true Lord means everything He says, you will obey. Even blindly obey.  That means if you do not agree with Jesus’ commands, or you think it is not wise to obey Jesus’ commands, or you do not feel like obeying, you still obey.  That is true Lordship.

But what is great about obeying Jesus is He loves us so much He only wants the best for us.  Much like a loving daddy to his son or daughter.  Thus when we continuously obey Him, it becomes more and more enjoyable to do so.  It is like training to run a 5 kilometer race.  If you have never run in your life before, at first it is very difficult to run.  Everything hurts, you give up easily because you get tired easily, you feel like you cannot do it.  But after several weeks of keeping at it, continuously training to run EVERYDAY, it becomes easier and easier.  It even becomes fun to run after a while.  After a while, it becomes enjoyable.

Same with obeying Jesus.  He promised to give you life to the full as you make Him your Lord, as you continuously obey Him.  And it will surely happen.  It happened to me.  For me it is now really fun and enjoyable to obey Jesus.  It also happened to a lot of my friends.  I know it will also happen to you.  Just start walking and following Jesus and soon you will see it for yourself.  With God, NOTHING is impossible!

P.S.  God promises stretching but enjoyment while walking it out with Him.  Thus Jesus gave us His Holy Spirit to empower us.  So depend on the Holy Spirit and NEVER depend SOLELY on your own abilities.

P.P.S.  You may ask, “How do I know what Jesus wants me to do?”  The answer: Read the bible.  Read the life story of Jesus in the New Testament.  It is all there and His life is really exciting! 🙂
