Matthew 22:36-40 NIV36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment.39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Habakkuk 2:4 NLT4 “Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.

God loves you so much that He wants you to enjoy life!  God and Jesus has repeatedly shown us in the Bible that He wants us to enjoy our lives and “how we can enjoy our lives”, in whatever the circumstances we are in.  Whether we are rich or poor, whether a slave or free, whether a king or peasant, whether you have an iPad or not, whether you have a car or not, whether you have a job or not, whether you are in victory or in defeat.  God wants you to enjoy your life!  How?

“Love God with all your heart, soul and mind” and live faithful to it!  That means, it becomes your lifestyle.  Again you ask, how can I love God like that?  Everyday, set aside a one-on-one time with God.  Study, scheme, and meditate on the ways and means that God has shown His love for you!  Read and meditate on the Bible. Study what Jesus did on the cross for you.  Maybe watch the movie “Passion of the Christ” to get a better understanding.  Listen to preaching or teaching mp3s or videos.  Worship God along with worship songs. Keep asking questions. Step out in faith in doing God’s desires for you.  God has such a great adventure waiting for you in all the promises He has listed in the Bible.  And He has a lot more promises He wants you to receive, more than your wildest dreams!  Claim all of them! That is how much God loves you.  But you have to experience it on your own.  You cannot just read about it.  And once you truly know and believe that you have a loving GOD always with you, you will be unstoppable!

Look at Adam and Eve.  What do you think is the main purpose of their lives?  Why did God create them?  It is to fellowship and love God.  They could not preach to anyone.  They could not prophesy, heal the sick, raise the dead, ask for miracles, or ask for provisions.  They were the only people on earth and everything is already provided for!

Look at Paul and Silas slashed with thorny whips and then thrown in the darkest prison cell, the dungeon.  All because they were obeying God.  And yet, they still praised and worshipped God there in the dungeon!  And when God’s foot was moved to stomp with the beat of their songs (just an imagination), an earthquake came and opened all the jail doors.  And you know what, they did not escape!  That means they truly wanted to praise and worship God.  They did not do it just to escape or get favor from God!  And they were unstoppable!

Look at Enoch, Moses, David, and the ultimate example, Jesus.  Their lifestyle was to learn about God’s love for them as first priority.  The disciple John nailed this down.  Just read the book of John and Revelation.  Later on, the other disciples nailed this down also, and they were all enjoying their lives and were unstoppable.

With all the distractions of temporary pleasures that the world is offering, we forgot that living a life of ultimate and everlasting pleasure is actually simple.  Just learn about God’s love for you everyday like your life depended on it, because it truly does.  And once you are full to overflowing of the knowledge and experience of God’s love for you, you will not be able to keep it to yourself.  You would just naturally want other people to have the same love God gave you.  This is because God loves your neighbor also, as much as He loves you!  Just teach them the same way you learned how to love God.  Just give them your testimony (like testifying in court).

This is actually the only desire God wants from us to enjoy life in whatever circumstance.  This is TRUE SALVATION.
