Romans 10:3-4 NLT“For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law. For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.”

As God has said in these verses, Jesus Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given, thus we do not need to do that again. We do not need to keep the law to be made right with God. All we need to do is to BELIEVE what Jesus has already done for us. And that makes us right with God!

I used to think that I am not getting healed, or I am not getting the right job, or I am not getting new customers for my business because of things that I have done against God.  Maybe I did not pray enough, or I did not read the Bible enough, or because I did not attend church service every Sundays.  This is why I do not have favor with God.  This is why God is not blessing me.

The Word of God above clearly shows I am thinking the WRONG way! I cannot earn a right standing with God by doing the right things, or by obeying the laws of God.  Same way I cannot take away my right standing with God by doing the wrong things!  God loved me so much He made me in right standing with Him by sending His one and only Son Jesus to die for me and to victoriously resurrect!  I just have to BELIEVE in Christ’s finished work!  I do not need to earn it by doing good works.  I cannot lose it either by falling into sin.  It is a done deal that can only be revoked by me rejecting this gift you have freely given me.

God help me never to reject this gracious great gift!  Thank you God for loving me so much you already finished the work that needs to be done to make me ALWAYS in right standing with You!  Now I always have your LOVE, I always have your FAVOR, I always have your BLESSINGS, all because of what you have done for me.  I pray this love You have demonstrated for me would always be in my heart and mind, in Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙂
