Amos 5:4 NIV“This is what the LORD says to the house of Israel: “Seek me and live;””

I saw this scripture this morning in my Android app called “Daily Bible Promises.”  I was trying to meditate on our loving God and this came up.

Ever wonder whether we have the power to live a great and successful life? Or is it dependent on our past experiences? Or on what family we were born into? Or what neighborhood we grew up in?

The verse above clearly shows the power is with God, and He is giving us this power! We can choose to live a great life, or live a defeated life (living to just exist).

God says “Seek me and live.” God wants us to have a great abundant life. All we have to do is to seek Him all day, in all circumstances.

Seek Him when you wake up.  Seek Him when you feel like it.  Seek Him when you do not feel like doing it.  Seek Him in times of victories, and also in times of defeat.  Seek Him in abundance, and also in lack.  Seek Him first, and all these things will be added to you as well.

Joshua 1:8 also emphasizes this point: “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

How to live a full life has been made simple by our loving God.  I pray we would change the way we do things and start walking in the great abundant life that God has prepared for us.  Thank you God for loving us so much that you made things simple for us to obey.  All we have to do is to seek you at all times, and your grace would be poured out on us, making us prosperous and successful.  Thank you that by giving us your only Son Jesus Christ, we are now legal heirs to everything good that you have promised.  We decide to keep seeking you today, and keep receiving every good blessing you have already promised in your Word, in Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
