Revelation 1:1,:3 NLT – This is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the events that must soon take place. He sent an angel to present this revelation to his servant John, . . . God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near.

Many people think that the Book of Revelation is a scary book, and people use it to scare people into salvation.  “Repent now, or you will feel the full wrath of God!”  “Repent now or you will go to hell!”

But when I read again the first few verses of the book, I could feel the love of God on why He let John write the book. God wants to show me what is going to happen, so that I would be blessed!

But you may wonder, how can I be blessed with all these doom and gloom being shown me?

Well, the doom and gloom is not what I see at the end. What I see is that all lying, cheating, evilness, badness in the world will be destroyed and erased; that goodness will reign in the end! Is not that what we are all wishing for? No more injustice, no more sadness, no more crying . . . everything will be perfect and only peace, love, and joy will remain! Everything will be replaced by our loving God with a new earth. A perfect world. Now that blesses me a lot!

God has also shown in the book that it is still to come, so we all have opportunities to start being part of God’s loving family. God is slow in bringing in the new earth because God wants EVERYONE to come back into His loving arms! Now that blesses me! I still have the opportunity to let my relatives, friends, co-workers, colleagues, acquaintances know the great love God has for them so that they would be part of God’s family!

Thank you Abba God for blessing us so much with the Book of Revelation. You have already shown us the victorious, loving, peaceful, and perfect future we have with you! Plus you have given us the power and opportunity to enjoy this future today by reconciling back to you as much people around us as we can. Thank you for your patience and love towards us, through Jesus’ name I pray, amen. 🙂
