Deuteronomy 4:33-:34 NLT – 33 Has any nation ever heard the voice of God speaking from fire—as you did—and survived? 34 Has any other god dared to take a nation for himself out of another nation by means of trials, miraculous signs, wonders, war, a strong hand, a powerful arm, and terrifying acts? Yet that is what the lord your God did for you in Egypt, right before your eyes.

I have always desired for God to speak to me face-to-face and audibly like He did with Moses, Elijah, and the Old Testament Israelites so that I would know exactly what He wants me to do. And to see His miracles, signs and wonders happening around me. Wouldn’t it be great to know exactly what God’s plans are for you?

You know what God told me? He said, “You really want to hear my voice so that you would really know what I want you to do? There it is. I have given it to you already.  The Bible.  It is a much more elaborated Word than what Moses or the Israelites ever had.”  Then I loved God more, and the Bible more.  I just realized that God had already provided me with all His mighty spoken Words that created the whole universe in just 6 days.  All I had to do was listen to God’s Word in the Bible, and decree it out just as He did, and creative miracles would come! His exact Words, signs and wonders, and miracles have always been with me and I did not even realize it!

I have also longed to be an Israelite, to be a nation that God looks upon with favor, protection, mercy, and love. I actually thought that I was born in the wrong time and in the wrong country. Why wasn’t I born an Israelite as Moses, or Elijah?

Then God told me, “You are fearfully and wonderfully made at the right place and at the right time in order to have maximum impact upon the world. I have chosen you to be my royal priest, a part of my holy nation, a part of my family. And to prove this, I have sacrificed my one and only son Jesus Christ to make you my own!” Then I loved God even more, and was a lot more grateful for what Jesus has already done for me on the cross, and the power of his resurrection!

I suddenly realized that God has given me better things than what I was desiring and longing for that the Old Testament Israelites had. God gave it all to me and believed in me even though He knew that I would fail Him a lot, that I may not believe Him all the time. I felt loved a lot lot more.  Thank you my Abba Father for letting me realize the great and marvelous things you have already given me.  You made me hunger for more of your loving Words: in the Bible, in the preachings of your ministers, and in the sharing of your disciples.  Thank you for loving me so much!  And it is all mine because of the finished work of Jesus Christ my Lord, amen! 🙂
